Dr. Feri Ferdian, CHE is currently an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality  at the Universitas Negeri Padang in Indonesia. Previously, Dr Feri was a training coordinator at the Tourism Department. After that he became Coordinator of the Tourism Master Program at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. Then, in the same year he was appointed as Head of the Department of Tourism. At this time, he is Vice Dean for Finance, Human Resources and General Affairs in Faculty of Tourism and Hopsitality. Dr Feri received his undergraduate degrees as well as his master degree from Universitas Negeri Padang - Indonesia, and his PhD in Hotel and Tourism Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA - Malaysia. Dr Feri has been certified by the American Hotel Lodging Association as a Certified Hospitality Educator. Dr Feri published a number of papers in preferred Journals and participated in a range of forums on hotel and tourism. He also presented various academic as well as research-based papers at several national and international conferences. His research activities are currently focus on human resources management in tourism and hospitality.
